If you are working in an office where your dress code is casual and you have an interview for a similar position, don't assume that what you wear to work will be ok to wear at your interview!
Employers want to see that you are going to the effort to impress them at the first instance. Even though you may wear jeans and a coloured shirt to work, if you wear this to an interview it is not going to go down too well and you may lose the job before you have had the opportunity to really showcase your skills. For an interview you should wear a suit and coloured shirt and for the guys, always wear a tie. It will show your prospective employer that you are keen and professional!
