Job Summary

The Front End Engineer is responsible for building the ‘client-side’ of our web applications and translating our company and customer needs into functional and appealing interactive applications. This role collaborates with UI/UX designers, back end engineers, QA and other team members to deliver our web based software. This position reports directly to the Lead Front End Software Engineer.

This is a great opportunity to join a small team and to have a big impact on the direction of our products. You will get to help change the ticketing industry by designing and developing a new ticket buying experience that people love!

This position is full-time and fully remote. Candidates must reside in the United Kingdom.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Translate designs into functional and responsive, pixel perfect user interfaces.
  • Collaborate with back end engineers to design and integrate JSON APIs.
  • Work with the UX team and product owners to ensure a pristine user experience.
  • Provide a reliable, responsive, cross browser experience in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
  • Solve complex problems and implement the best possible solutions.
  • Write automated, end-to-end tests using frameworks such as Cypress.
  • Expand and maintain a product-wide visual design system.
  • Create high performance single page apps using Vue.

Qualifications


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other technical discipline is preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
  • Three or more years of front end engineering experience.
  • Four or more years of professional work experience as a Front End Engineer
  • Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience using JavaScript frameworks like AngularJS, Vue, React, etc.
  • Experience with SASS or LESS.
  • Deep knowledge of git source control.
  • Working knowledge of TypeScript.
  • Experience working on large real world software applications.
  • Experience with build tools such as Gulp or Webpack.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and attention to details skills.
