The Office of Marketing and Communications seeks applications for a motivated, forward-thinking Full Stack Web Developer to assist in developing and maintaining Xavier’s web applications across multiple platforms. Potential candidates should possess a positive attitude, demonstrated ability to function within a collaborative team, and a passion for online endeavors. The Ideal Candidate. . .
- Loves developing and maintaining full stack web applications, using client-side frameworks, server-side scripting, html and css.
- Is current on the latest industry trends and keeps up with new technologies.
- Understands accessible, responsive design concepts.
- Understands Adobe Photoshop and can produce the occasional image when needed.
- Works well with others and has demonstrated experience in a collaborative environment.
- Is comfortable and thorough in supporting campus users as they develop and update their sites.
- Is familiar with Google Analytics and can help leverage reports to support university goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to develop and maintain the full scope of a web application, including client-side code, server-side code, and database management
- Understanding of latest web technologies
- Works well with others and has demonstrated experience in a collaborative environment
Required Experience
- Bachelors’ degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with any server-side technology (PHP, .Net, etc), client-side frameworks (Vue, React, Angular), JavaScript, SCSS and local development tools
- Experience designing and managing databases
Preferred Experience
- Development experience using Vue
- Development experience within a LAMP environment
- Experience with Grunt, Gulp or other pre-processing tools
- Experience with Git or other version control systems
