TinyURL is the original URL shortener, created over 20 years ago to make the internet a simpler and more user-friendly place. In recent years, we’ve begun exploring the potential of the service as a full SaaS product capable of leading the market for link shortening, link management, and related solutions.

We are a fast-growing, multinational team looking for a full stack developer who is a Wordpress expert that can develop and manage our sales and other marketing sites.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking a Full Stack Wordpress Developer to assist our marketing team in developing and managing our sales site ensuring that updates are implemented in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate would be proficient with Wordpress, Wordpress Themes, and plugins. The candidate should be ready to assist the marketing team in tracking and storing traffic data in accordance with best practices, as well as making them available for analysis via dashboard reports, queries, and other requests as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Analyze and evaluate technical risks within the scope of a project and make judicious recommendations on the best approach to the building of a scalable sales site;

• Understand, communicate, and execute technical solutions from design through to code level;

• Create, maintain TinyURL sales and marketing websites on Wordpress

• Create, edit marketing web pages and execute on web content requirements (ex. landing pages, downloadables, video embeds, etc.)

• Maintain marketing data streams (data streams will mostly be built by another party, but developer should be able to execute on additional requirements on top of the existing infrastructure)

• Maintain TinyURL sitemap

• Convert email designs to HTML

• Report on tasks completion through our Jira Project Management Tool;

• Follow best practices in Agile methodology and Scrum;

• Delivering tasks on budget, on time, to requirements, and with high quality;

• Ensure that all submitted code have unit tests and that unit tests are passed before acceptance into our code repository;

• Participate in reviews and meetings and provide updates on task progress;

• Present technical information to a range of audiences including non-technical audiences;

• Ensure that all features, process flows, feature architecture, processes, and repeatable procedures are documented.

REQUIREMENTS

• You have deep knowledge in Wordpress, Wordpress Themes, and know the best Wordpress Plugins to achieve our goals;

• You have acute problem solving skills and a knack for out-of-the-box thinking. You will be collaborating with us on new ideas and solving issues that may have us stuck;

• You are able to communicate thoughts and ideas in both a technical and non-technical manner;

• You are able to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and be transparent with deadline extensions when needed;

• You are fluent in written and verbal English;

• Your attention-to-detail mentality is out of this world;

This is a full-time contractual engagement for an initial period of 6 months, with potential for extension. We are looking for individual developers and are not open to working with agencies.
