Purpose

Organize data visually for shoppers and suppliers of a B2B e-commerce site in the supply-chain industry. Consider the UX while coding the UI. Simply fetch JSON from a RESTful API, and present it in Vue.js components. Test and push changes any time of the day.

Three years of experience as a frontend developer is necessary. Ideally, you think High Performance Browser Networking is cool. This is the first frontend developer role at this company. This is a new project, so there’s no existing UI. Report to the backend developer, and coordinate combined development.

This is a part-time contract until February. After that, the project will be re-evaluated. The expectation is 4 hours of work each day for five days per week, except on holidays. Compensation is monthly.

We rely on the internet to communicate with each other and perform work, so reporting to an office and toiling under the watchful eye of a supervisor is unnecessary. Remote work from anywhere in the Americas is accepted.

Meetings remain brief to avoid distracting us from our purpose.

Software development lacks any resemblance to Henry Ford’s factories, so an eight-hour work day is unnecessary. We don’t expect you to code for hours and hours in one sitting, so a continuous set of working hours is unnecessary. Development happens four days per week, and refactoring happens on Friday. Quarterly, we will enact a cadence of ten weeks of development, and two weeks of major refactoring.

One day free from work each month is granted to you for personal recovery.

Holidays, applicable to this contract's timeline
